In a unexpected collaboration that defies usual forecasts, the game developer has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where whispers of forbidden practices and monstrous changes echo through the shadows." The storyline introduces a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.
The adventure concentrates on "strange trials and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Changes
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview ends with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
